About the Role
Facilities & Services Specialist responsible for day-to-day operations across two facilities (office, warehouse, and test lab), including preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, building repairs, safety initiatives, and food service management.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for facilities operations across two locations; coordinate building access, repairs, and scheduled service with external vendors; perform routine preventative maintenance and basic repairs (plumbing, minor electrical/HVAC); conduct inventory checks and handle workstation setups, desk moves, and equipment assembly; document work via Jira; review vendor quotes; supervise food service programs including daily catering and snack ordering; ensure food service sanitation and compliance; manage office supplies and mail; coordinate physical space setups for events; act as a safety advocate, install safety equipment, and conduct daily walk-throughs to correct deficiencies; oversee external vendor maintenance; maintain company vehicles including forklifts; and provide or coordinate health and safety training.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED; 2-5 years experience in office/property management, facilities maintenance, or building systems maintenance; excellent customer service attitude; ability to interface with management and employees professionally; ability to obtain Food Service Manager certification; strong verbal and written communication skills; excellent problem-solving skills; skilled with power tools and shop equipment; ability to troubleshoot mechanical/electrical malfunctions; ability to communicate and document equipment records; demonstrated ability to implement safety training requirements; availability for adjusted work schedules, overtime, evening/weekend hours; physical ability to push or pull up to 50 pounds.
Nice to Have
Spanish language skills; proficiency in Google Workspace, Word, and Excel; knowledge of painting, welding, and machining practices; Forklift trainer certification or willingness to become certified; Valid driver's license.
